If you’re a fan of fishing, the Xbox One hasn’t really got anything to push those angling buttons – not yet. But Dovetail Games have announced that Euro Fishing, already available for PC via Steam, will be coming to Xbox One this year via the ID@Xbox Self Publishing platform.

There is no release date in mind at this stage for Euro Fishing, but Dovetail Games – better known for creating the popular Train Simulator series for PC – have said that it will make it’s appearance in 2016 “at some point”.

“We’ve made no secret of our desire to extend our simulation experiences to a console audience and being part of Microsoft’s ID@Xbox programme has enabled us to undertake that process in a really simple and user-friendly way,” Dovetail boss Paul Jackson said.

“Our focus now is on building a fantastic team to take forward the development of Dovetail Games Fishing on Xbox One.”

If you’re going to EGX Rezzed in London this April, you’ll be able to play the PC version of Euro Fishing, alongside a whole host of ID@Xbox titles.
